LEED™ EA Credit 1 Optimize Energy Performance (1-19 Points)

Energy Modeling or Building Energy Simulations, makes achievement of up to 19 points possible in LEED's EA Credit 1. In addition to verifying LEED compliance, energy simulations lay the basis for consultation in the selection of a high performance design during the preliminary design phase.

When on the cusp of choosing between different designs, we can provide you with specific numbers to outline the most energy efficient option using the ASHRAE Building Performance Rating method. All LEED NC projects must achieve at least 10% savings as compared to a baseline ASHRAE 90.1-2007 Performance Rating building, and between 1 and 19 points can be earned for every 2% incremental increase in savings above 10%.
