General Contractor LEED Project Administration – Construction Credits
Pre-Construction Kick-Off
Conduct a pre-construction kick-off meeting for the construction team to understand the various special procedures to be followed during construction to maintain compliance with LEED credit requirements
- Instruct general contractor and sub-contractors on LEED requirements.
- Conduct site visit meetings to review progress and quality of LEED-related procedures.
LEED Construction Assistance:
Green Living, LLC provides guidance to the General Contractor highlighting their critical tasks and responsibilities and provides templates for implementing the requirements of LEED related construction credits.
- Provide Construction Waste Management Plan for MR credit 2
- Provide Indoor Air Quality Management Plan for EQ credit 3
- Maintain updated Scorecard and Task List in LEED Online
- Monitor project’s recycled and regional materials to meet LEED recycled and regional materials credits
- Identify and verify low VOC adhesives, sealants, paints and other products to meet LEED requirements.
- Coordinate activities with commissioning agent to facilitate site presence at appropriate times
Submission to USGBC after construction completion:
- Procure LEED documentation from project team (note: this is an ongoing process)
- Prepare LEED project narrative and upload pictures in cooperation with project architect
- Conduct a final review of Construction Phase Credits documentation in LEED Online for completeness and correctness per LEED
- Submit Construction Phase Credits and any corrections or additions to the Design Phase Credits to USGBC for review and comment
- Respond to the USGBC regarding clarifications
- Coordinate project team response to USGBC inquiries
