San Diego's Student Housing Project was the 1st Certified LEED Gold in the San Diego Collwood Boulevard Apartments is a 260-unit project comprising four buildings ranging in size from one to five stories with a 521,408 gross square footage located on a seven-acre site. Approximately 30 percent of the units are powered by PV panels installed on the roof. In addition, 2.25 acres will be left undeveloped and restored with native vegetation to serve as a buffer for adjacent uses. Services also included conducting a design charrette, making design recommendations, defining LEED related specifications, performing daylighting analyses, and supporting the design and construction team in the documentation for the LEED submittal process.
